Abstract
The pervasive penetration of the tabloid press mentality affects, literally, all areas of life. Unfortunately, it affects even the perception of the results of the evidence-based research by health professionals. As the result, without a thorough reading and a thorough analysis of this or that piece of evidentiary research, many specialists can come to completely false conclusions, which are in complete disagreement with the actual results obtained. In this paper, a detailed analysis of one of the evidence-based studies on the use of vitamin-mineral complexes during pregnancy is presented (Nohr et al., Internatonal Journal of Epidemiology, 2014; 43: 174-184). It is shown how a detailed analysis of the text and of the data presented in a paper makes it possible not only to produce valid and practically useful conclusions, but also to point out the fundamentally important areas for further research.

Abstract
The article describes modern views on the prognosis of arterial hypertension (AH) in pregnant women. Special attention is paid to the pathogenesis of preeclampsia (PE), which is a multisystem syndrome developing after 20 weeks of gestation. Criteria of pre-eclampsia remain unspecified and vary the recommendations of a number of societies of obstetricians and gynecologists. The article stresses modern laboratory criteria of preeclampsia markers of angiogenic (placental growth factor and fms-like tyrosine kinase-1). The definition is highly sensitive and specific indicator of prognosis of this serious complication. The content of homocysteine in plasma is correlated with the severity of PE. 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure measurement (ABPM) is an objective method of diagnosis of hypertension in pregnancy, allowing to differentiate white coat' hypertension from other forms of the disease. Important criteria of preeclampsia may be the ABPM parameters: hyperbaric index, pulse pressure, circadian variation of blood pressure, sleep hypertension, as well as bradi-diastolic curve type. Completely safe drug for the treatment of hypertension in pregnant women is dopegit, however, the effectiveness is very small, in particular when used in high dosages. Good antihypertensive effect have calcium antagonists and ß-blockers, and positive action of the latter often exceeds the possible side effects. The author emphasizes the need for additional research of this problem.

Abstract
Incidence of uterine fibriods in women population is 20-25 %. At the age of 35 years the incidence increased to 52 %, but only 20 % of all fibroids became symptomatic. This article presents a modern view of conservative and surgical treatment of uterine fibroids. We study results of 721 myomectomies, which are performed at our department from 2010 to 2014 year. Laparoscopic myomectomy was done in 502 patients (69.6 %), laparotomic in 13 % cases, hysteroscopic myomectomy in 141 (19.9 %) patients. In 26 (3.6 %) cases a combined access was required, in 7 (0,97%) - a conversion. We analyzed the reproductive outcomes of 218 patients treated at our department. The cumulative frequency of pregnancies was 51.6 %. Spontaneous pregnancy accounted for 69 % of this number. A single (1.3 %) complication in the form of the uterine scar rupture was documented in the week 34 of pregnancy. Conclusion. Myomectomy in symptomatic myoma is a safety procedure with a low rate of complications.

Abstract
The problem of cervical cancer for many decades continues to be the focus of the world s outstanding oncologists. According to the predictive estimations of experts (taking into account the population growth and the expected life expectancy increase), by 2020 in developing countries, the incidence and prevalence of cervical cancer will be about 40 %, and in developed countries about 11 %. It is a well known fact that if today we don ’t carry out up-to-date measures for the prevention and treatment of cervical cancer, after 2050, each year in the world 1 million women will have cervical cancer. According to the international data, death rate from cervical cancer in Armenia is 3 times lower compared to Russia and some European countries (i.e. Romania), but still almost 3 times higher than in Finland, Belgium, Sweden. For early detection of cervical cancer, screening programs are necessary. Their successful implementation depends on both increasing the level of awareness of the population about the early signs and symptoms of cancer, and on the step-by-step work of medical personnel with the aim of promptly taking the patient on record and keeping it in accordance with protocol.
