Abstract
The aim of the study: evaluation of liver function abnormalities in patients with chronic acalculous cholecystitis and their correction. Materials and methods: 101 patients with chronic acalculous cholecystitis were examined at the age of 45.47 ± 1.37 years; the comparison group consisted of 30 practically healthy people. Patients underwent a complex study of the organs of the hepatobiliary tract and esophagogastroduodenal zone using laboratory and instrumental diagnostic methods. Results: Transaminase values did not exceed the limits of reference indices; however they were significantly higher than in patients of the comparison group. The level of indices of cholestasis syndrome (alkaline phosphatase, gamma glutamyltranspeptidase, cholesterol) was significantly higher in the patients of the observation group and exceeded the reference values. instrumental diagnostic methods revealed an increase in the V fraction of bile in multifractional duodenal sounding and a slowdown in the excretion of radiopharmaceuticals in dynamic hepatoscintigraphy. To correct the revealed violations to the standard therapy of HNH, the drug ademethionine was added. Conclusions: the use of ademetionine in the complex therapy of patients with chronic acalculous cholecystitis with functional liver disorders had a positive therapeutic effect in the form of improved clinical, laboratory and instrumental indices.

Abstract
The review article presents modern information on the pathogenesis of the most common functional diseases of the digestive system (functional dyspepsia and irritable bowel syndrome), as well as the combined functional pathology - overlap syndrome. The article describes modern concepts of violations of the interaction between the central nervous system and the enteral nervous system, the role of various mediators in the development of functional disorders, describes the motor activity of the stomach and intestine, the phenomenon of visceral hypersensitivity and the role of genetic factors. A number of associations between pathogenic processes and the development of clinical symptoms of functional diseases were observed. Particular attention is paid to the role of the intestinal microbiota and its metabolites in the development of functional pathology of the gastrointestinal tract, and the biopsychosocial model of functional disorders.
