Diagnostics and treatment of nociplastic musculoskeletal pain
Abstract
The problem of pain, rational pain relief, prevention of chronic pain syndrome and treatment of chronic pain syndromes in recent years has undergone an active rethinking in the scientific community. Recent advances in the understanding of maladaptive neuroplastic, myoplastic, chondroplastic and osteoplastic processes, leading to the formation of chronic musculoskeletal pain syndromes resistant to anti-inflammatory therapy, led to the creation of the term nociplastic pain. Understanding the prevailing maladaptive mechanisms of pain chronization in each individual patient allows to use of a comprehensive personalized treatment approach, justifying the expert choice of the safest and most economically viable methods of prevention, treatment and rehabilitation.
