Hypertonus of masticatory muscles and its possible consequences during endodontic treatment (clinical observation)
Abstract
In our article we presents a clinical case of a patient, which has cracks in the roots of the endodontically treated teeth. The authors suggest that the appearance of cracks was provoked not only by the endodontic treatment of the teeth, but also by occlusal disorders such as supracontacts. By the way, the supracontacts may be as results of the expressed hypertonicity of the chewing muscles.
