<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Children with end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) have increased risk of oral disorders and alterations in oral microbiota due to both the underlying disease and ongoing immunosuppressive therapy (IST). Therefore, there is a particular need for daily oral hygiene products that can improve oral health and support functional microbial balance. Objective. This study was aimed to evaluate clinical and microbiological changes in oral health in ESKD children following the use of LACTOSTERINE KIDS mouthwash. Materials and methods. The study included 30 children with ESKD aged 12–17 years. All patients received oral hygiene instruction. Participants were randomly allocated in a 1:1 ratio to two groups: 15 patients in Group 1 used LACTOSTERINE KIDS, whereas 15 patients in Group 2 did not use the mouthwash. Oral Hygiene Index-Simplified (OHI-S), Papillary–Marginal–Alveolar (PMA) index, salivary pH, and microbiological markers assessed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry were evaluated before and after the observation period. Results. OHI-S improved in both groups (p&lt;0.05). Group 1 demonstrated a more significant change in salivary pH compared with Group 2 (p&lt;0.05). Among the microbiological markers, statistically significant changes were observed in intergroup differences for Actinomyces spp., Actinomyces viscosus, Streptococcus mutans, Fusobacterium spp, and Candida spp. (p&lt;0.05). Conclusion. The use of LACTOSTERINE KIDS was associated with favorable clinical and microbiological changes in ESKD children. The findings suggest a potential anticariogenic and microbiota-modulating effect of the mouthwash in patients undergoing IST.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>микробиота полости рта</kwd><kwd>ополаскиватель</kwd><kwd>терминальная стадия хронической болезни почек</kwd><kwd>иммуносупрессивная терапия</kwd><kwd>дети</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>oral microbiota</kwd><kwd>mouthwash</kwd><kwd>end-stage kidney disease</kwd><kwd>immunosuppressive therapy</kwd><kwd>children</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Sedghi, L.; DiMassa, V.; Harrington, A.; Lynch, S.V.; Kapila, Y.L.
