Увеличение продолжительности жизни и, как следствие, повышение доли пожилого населения. Многие с возрастом теряют зубы по тем или иным причинам. Это в свою очередь повышает спрос на съемное зубное протезирование. Съемные зубные протезы требуют длительного времени для адаптации, а также порой вызывают некоторый дискомфорт при их эксплуатации. С целью повышения комфорта ношения съемных зубных протезов многие используют различные адгезивные средства. На рынке присутствует множество различных адгезивных кремов, прокладок, порошков, что затрудняет для пациентов их выбор. В настоящее время появился адгезивный крем нового поколения и фиксирующие прокладки Protefix, которые обладает уникальными свойствами.</p></sec><sec><title>Цель</title><p>Цель. Сравнить влияние адгезивного крема Protefix Premium 7 и фиксирующих прокладок Protefix на качество жизни пациентов со полными съемными зубными протезами.</p></sec><sec><title>Материалы и методы</title><p>Материалы и методы. В исследовании приняли участие 52 пациента мужского и женского пола в возрасте от 75 до 90 лет. В исследование включали пациентов использующих полные съемные зубные протезы на верхней челюсти. Всем пациентам во время первичного осмотра проводилась оценка качества жизни при помощи валидированного опросника OHIP-14, применяемого для оценки качества жизни стоматологических пациентов. Далее всех пациентов случайным образом разделяли на две равные группы по 26 человек. В группе 1 всем пациентам назначали адгезивный крем Protefix Premium 7, а в группе 2 пациентам назначали прокладки фиксирующие Protefix для ежедневного использования. Пациентов ознакамливали с инструкцией производителя и давали индивидуальные рекомендации по использованию средств фиксации протеза. Повторная оценка качества жизни проводилась через 30 дней после начал исследования. Результаты и обсуждение. Были получены статистически значимые различия в динамике качества жизни после начала использования адгезивных средств Protefix. Достоверных различий при использовании адгезивного крема и фиксирующих прокладок Protefix выявлено не было. Независимо от наличия или отсутствия опыта использования других адгезивных средств также отмечалась положительная динамика уровня качества жизни.</p></sec><sec><title>Выводы</title><p>Выводы. Премиальный адгезивный крем нового поколения Protefix Premium 7 и фиксирующие прокладки Protefix отвечают всем заявленным характеристикам производителя и тем самым повышают качество жизни пациентов, использующих полные съемные зубные пластиночные протезы. Адгезивный крем нового поколения Protefix Premium 7 и фиксирующие прокладки Protefix могут быть рекомендован для повседневного использования пациентам с полными съемными зубными протезами для повышения качества жизни.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Relevance</title><p>Relevance. An increase in life expectancy and, as a result, an increase in the proportion of the elderly population. Many people lose their teeth with age for one reason or another. This, in turn, increases the demand for removable dentures. Removable dentures take a long time to adapt, and also sometimes cause some discomfort during their operation. In order to increase the comfort of wearing removable dentures, many people use various adhesives. There are many different adhesive creams, pads, and powders on the market, which makes it difficult for patients to choose them. Currently, a new generation adhesive cream and Protefix fixing pads have appeared, which have unique properties.</p></sec><sec><title>Goal</title><p>Goal. To compare the effect of Protefix Premium 7 adhesive cream and Protefix fixing pads on the quality of life of patients with complete removable dentures.</p></sec><sec><title>Materials and methods</title><p>Materials and methods. The study involved 52 male and female patients aged 75 to 90 years. The study included patients using full removable dentures on the upper jaw. During the initial examination, all patients underwent a quality of life assessment using the validated OHIP-14 questionnaire used to assess the quality of life of dental patients. Next, all patients were randomly divided into two equal groups of 26 people. In group 1, all patients were prescribed Protefix Premium 7 adhesive cream, and in group 2, patients were prescribed Protefix fixing pads for daily use. Patients were familiarized with the manufacturer’s instructions and given individual recommendations on the use of prosthetic fixation devices. A second assessment of the quality of life was carried out 30 days after the start of the study.</p></sec><sec><title>Results and discussion</title><p>Results and discussion. Statistically significant differences in the dynamics of quality of life were obtained after the start of using Protefix adhesives. There were no significant differences between the use of adhesive cream and Protefix fixing pads. Regardless of the presence or absence of experience in using other adhesives, there was also a positive trend in the quality of life.</p></sec><sec><title>Conclusions</title><p>Conclusions. The premium adhesive cream of the new generation Protefix Premium 7 and the Protefix fixing pads meet all the declared characteristics of the manufacturer and thereby improve the quality of life of patients using complete removable dentures.
