<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>In the last decade, there has been a rapid increase in the incidence of both stress-induced mental disorders and metabolic diseases (obesity, diabetes, etc.). These disorders may be based on common pathogenetic mechanisms, including activation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, changes in cellular homeostasis and energy metabolism. Nutrition can have both positive and negative effects on the body’s adaptive reserves and metabolism. Our article is devoted to the description of the role of micronutrients rarely used to optimize the diet, such as tyrosine, magnesium, trivalent chromium and vitamin-like substances in the regulation of metabolism and stress resistance.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>стресс</kwd><kwd>метаболизм</kwd><kwd>метаболический синдром</kwd><kwd>диета</kwd><kwd>тирозин</kwd><kwd>магний</kwd><kwd>хром</kwd><kwd>холин</kwd><kwd>инозитол</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>stress</kwd><kwd>metabolism</kwd><kwd>metabolic syndrome</kwd><kwd>diet</kwd><kwd>tyrosine</kwd><kwd>magnesium</kwd><kwd>chromium</kwd><kwd>choline</kwd><kwd>inositol</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Публикация выполнена при поддержке Программы стратегического академического лидерства РУДН.</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">COVID‑19 pandemic triggers 25 % increase in prevalence of anxiety and depression worldwide.
