<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Every year, 400,000 new cases of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and 175,000 deaths are registered worldwide. Currently available advanced treatments for RCC have less toxicity than previously used therapeutic agents, but drug resistance remains a clinically significant problem. Drug resistance occurs as a result of angiogenic transition through activation of pathways that do not depend on VEGF targets of most first-line treatments. Lenvatinib with everolimus can fight resistance to increase both progression-free survival and overall survival in patients with metastatic RCC according to clinical studies.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>рак почки</kwd><kwd>ленватиниб</kwd><kwd>эверолимус</kwd><kwd>таргетная терапия</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>kidney cancer</kwd><kwd>lenvatinib</kwd><kwd>everolimus</kwd><kwd>targeted therapy</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Авторы заявляют о том, что данная публикация подготовлена при финансовой поддержке компании «Эйсай».</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="en">The authors declare that this publication was prepared with the financial support of Eisai.</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Song X.D., Tian Y.N., Li H. et al.
