Преимущества грудного вскармливания в краткосрочной перспективе связаны с более быстрым послеродовом психологическим и эмоциональным восстановлением. В долгосрочной перспективе лактация снижает риск развития рака груди, яичников и эндометрия, а также ряда других заболеваний сильнее, если исключительно грудное вскармливание продолжается 6 и более месяцев. Нерациональное питание кормящей матери является одним из самых разрушительных факторов именно для ее здоровья. Также важно помнить, что количество молока зависит от частоты прикладываний к груди и нет доказательств в отношении пищевых продуктов, лекарственных растений или медикаментозных средств, способствующих пролонгации лактации или увеличивающих объем молока. Разнообразный сбалансированный рацион, включающий натуральные и специализированные продукты для кормящих матерей, а также БАД к пище - источники витаминов и минералов, может гарантировать, что мать потребляет достаточное количество нутриентов как для себя, так и для грудного ребенка.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Lactation contributes to the recovery of the mother after pregnancy and can affect many aspects of maternal health later in life. The short-term benefits of breastfeeding are associated with faster postpartum psychological and emotional recovery. In the long term, lactation reduces the risk of breast, ovarian and endometrial cancer, as well as a number of other diseases, more if exclusive breastfeeding continues for six months or more. Inappropriate nutrition of a nursing mother is one of the most destructive factors for her health. It is also important to remember that the amount of milk depends on the frequency of breastfeeding, and there is no evidence for foods, herbs or medications to prolong lactation or increase milk volume.
