<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Current review article focuses on the diagnostic aspects of acute aortic syndromes and traumatic injuries. In each case, the etiology of the disease, diagnostic competence of echocardiography (both transthoracic and transesophageal) are considered as the first line diagnostic mean; also diagnostic possibilities of other methods are discussed (such as CT scan, magnetic resonance imaging).</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>трансторакальная эхокардиография</kwd><kwd>чреспищеводная эхокардиография</kwd><kwd>грудная аорта</kwd><kwd>острые аортальные синдромы</kwd><kwd>аневризма аорты</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>transthoracic echocardiography</kwd><kwd>transesophageal echocardiography</kwd><kwd>thoracic aorta</kwd><kwd>acute aortic syndromes</kwd><kwd>aortic aneurysm</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Nienaber, C.
