<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The review addresses issues related to genetic predisposition and resistance to infectious diseases. Genetic factors largely determine the susceptibility of the body to various diseases, including infectious ones. A genetic predisposition to tuberculosis, salmonellosis, viral hepatitis, tick-borne encephalitis, Lyme disease, HIV and others is shown. Knowledge of molecular genetic biomarkers is necessary for identifying risk groups, conducting predictive measures, in particular vaccination. The main influence is given to the genes of the main histocompatibility complex; the role of mitochondrial DNA in susceptibility to HIV infection is shown.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>ВИЧ</kwd><kwd>СПИД</kwd><kwd>однонуклеотидные полиморфизмы</kwd><kwd>лабораторные биомаркеры</kwd><kwd>гены главного комплекса гистосовместимости</kwd><kwd>гаплогруппы митохондриальной ДНК</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>HIV</kwd><kwd>AIDS</kwd><kwd>single nucleotide polymorphisms</kwd><kwd>laboratory biomarkers</kwd><kwd>genes of the main histocompatibility complex</kwd><kwd>haplogroups of mitochondrial DNA</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Morens D.
